 The Killing Moon
« Thread Started on Nov 5, 2009, 4:54pm »

It's been three years in the making, but my third novel is finally being released 20th November.

The Killing Moon has been written in collaboration with my long time friend, Jamie Mitchell. It is a post apocalyptic vision of North East England and is being described as...

The Road meets Mad Max ... Beyond Northern England.

A series of cataclysmic events bring about the global collapse of civilisation. The few remaining survivors must fight for their survival in a world plunged back into the dark ages. Twenty years on, a new generation grow up out of the ashes and, after their idyllic life is destroyed, five friends must leave

their childhood home in rural Northumberland and embark on a perilous journey to Middlesbrough, a city gripped with gang violence and sectarian killings.

Tragedy, lies and deceit mar their every step as they are cast into a dark and twisted world that is itself on the brink of destruction.

“An intelligent, violent and disturbing post apocalyptic vision. Realistic and gritty and yet still manages to purvey a sense of hope laced with down-to-earth northern humour.”

The Killing Moon by Rod Glenn & Jamie Mitchell
ISBN 978-0956211484
324 Pages
Trade Paperback
Published by Wild Wolf Publishing
Released 20th November 2009
£9.99

I have three book-signings set already with more planned:

Borders Books, Team Valley, Gateshead on Saturday 28th November 12-3pm

Borders Books, Silverlink, Newcastle on Monday 21st December 1pm-4pm

Borders Books, Silverlink, Newcastle on Saturday 2nd January 2010 12-5pm

I know a lot of you guys are a long way away from the North East of England, so don't worry, but if anyone is in the area around those dates you'd be most welcome.

The artwork for the cover is by our very own Lonesome Crow! And a flippin EXCELLENT job he did too!

I'll be helping the boy wonder out at the signings as usual.
I'd also like to say that LC's art really captures the feel of it. Nice work! :)

What does he do? act as your Bouncer, kicking people into the shop rather than out?

:-[ God that was cruel, I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. ;D

:-[ Do I still get a signed copy after that? :-[

The first batch of books have arrived and they're looking damn good. LC, email me your address and I'll post a signed copy out to you.

If any forum members would like a copy I can give a bit of a discount. The RRP is £9.99 but for members I'll sign a copy and post it for a mere £7.99 (yours is free of course, LC!). If any members would like a signed copy just send a PayPal payment to rod at rodglenn.com stating who you would like it signed to and I'll get em sent out.

Once you've read it I'd really appreciate it if you could write a quick (and honest of course) review on here and maybe on Amazon if you don't mind.
