Well, I was playing Battlefront II earlier and thought "wouldn't it be nice to make a TIE Fighter" - so I did! It still needs a bit of work - it's a bit too smooth in places, but I'm quite happy with it. It took about 2 hours to do; make and colour, but I would like to get hold of some better textures. Anyway, I'm still rather pleased.

Nice work. Looking good so far, are you going to have a go at the pilot?

Thanks guys. Nice work. Looking good so far, are you going to have a go at the pilot? No, I'm not very good with people, the ones I create look really really, well, unpeople like. I'm sticking with just the star ships and all, it's easier to do. Oddly enough, for me I find doing these trilogy vehicles easier to do than the prequel ones, as things like the TIEs and Star Destroyers have rough lines and sharp points, whereas the prequel stuff like tanks and what not have nice smooth surfaces which I'm having trouble replicating for the time being.

Well Original Trilogy > Prequels, so you're fine! You should try your hand at making a full fleet!

I hope to make a fleet of sorts soon Bagnew, I'll try my hand at a Star Destroyer. In the mean time, look who joins the TIE family. And here is a TIE Fighter Squadron, put together by referencing an image I found on the internet.

Very good, although your stars look too bright behind your squadron. just Darth Vader's Tie Fighter to go. ;D

Some right nice modeling, CT! Highly textured or not, those look right decent. And more than hold their own. The articulation and depth of you modeling has really grown over the past few years. Be proud!
It's nice to see the incorporation of backgrounds to your works. You've got the knack, just watch your scaling. As LC mentioned, the stars on one looked really bright.
Outside that, a big hand to you!! Well done. As, Nerfy mentioned, if you could do a TIE Bomber that would be ace!

Thanks for the good words guys. The stars in that last squadron image do look a bit odd, that's what I get for choosing a different texture. I might redo it seeing as I have the original file on hand still, and try with the background I've previously used. Still have Darth's TIE and the Bomber to do, but I'm now trying a Star Destroyer which is interesting but I'm confident I can get something that vaguely resembles the props out.
