So cool!
I love this poster. I've bought a copy of the booklet with this poster a few years back on E-Bay. It is in great shape. I just keep it folded to protect it...

You have blueprints? Are you trying to build one for real and just covering that with making this image? Doesn't every WotW fan have a set of Michael Trim's blueprints? my blueprints are on the back of this Peter Elson poster, for both the Handling and Fighting Machine. I have already used the Fighting machine blueprints to build a model. Here's a link to my on-line tutorial: www.focusgaming.co.uk/eveofthewar/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1243&sid=8ab0a438b5a364efccee3d1404ed449cThank everyone for kind comments.

Do the tiny sketches in the CD cover count?

Do the tiny sketches in the CD cover count? Umm... Yes We're almost there, just got to add the people and I'll post the full sized piece. I've made it so it can be used as a wide-screen desktop wallpaper.

Absolutely Brilliant! I see the Tripod on the far right doesn't have its foot up in the air like in the original, so you can quite easily claim that it's your own work

Looks wicked mate. He's missing his third leg on the left side and make sure you sort out the area where his foot is overlapping the cart wheel in the field.
[edit] why am I assigning the male gender to a machine? lol
Also the smoke in the background could do with a bit more contrast, looks a little too washed out for the image.

[edit] why am I assigning the male gender to a machine? lol Also the smoke in the background could do with a bit more contrast, looks a little too washed out for the image. The third leg on the left side is behind the body so it can't be seen, you can just make out the foot though. The foot isn't overlapping the cart wheel. what you are seeing is a spoke of the wheel, it does line up perfectly with the foot and does cause confusion. I will be hiding the feet in the straw a bit more than I have at the moment. As for the smoke, I may make the smoke on the right a bit greyer but the smoke on the left and centre are pretty much as in the original painting. Something I have just noticed though, you can see the rear leg of the middle fighting machine below the belly of the handling machine. I shall have to remove that. Here's a link to Elson's original so you can see what I mean about the third leg and smoke. www.peterelson.co.uk/gallery/image.php?cat=12&id=260Thanks for your comments, they do help.

Here's a 'before and after' of the foot and cart wheel. I've also removed that pesky, rear fighting machine leg. ;D
