Just read the great news that Stephen Fry will be playing the Master of Laketown in PJ's The Hobbit released December next year Not exactly the biggest part in the story but he should fit right into that role. Gotta be a great thing I seriously cant wait for the Hobbit films to come out. Martin Freeman seems to be freekishly similar to a young Ian Holm too! brilliant casting! I just hope he doesn't put too much cheesy comedy into it and sticks to the LOTR current format. Good to see Benedict Cumberbatch too, interesting actor.

Trainee
Can I make a suggestion that doesn't involve violence, or is this the wrong crowd for that?

I don't remember Radagast the Brown being in the 'Hobbit' I know he was mentioned in the Lord of the Rings but not the Hobbit. I hope they're not going to mess around with the story too much.

Quote from wikipedia "Radagast appears in The Lord of the Rings and Unfinished Tales, and is mentioned in The Hobbit and The Silmarillion."
So yeah you're right he just gets mentioned in the hobbit rather than playing a part so it appears they have chopped and changed it a bit. But then Elves were never there to rescue Rohan at Helms Deep in the book and that happened in the film and I don't think it took took much away from the story at all.
