I have to say I love the scene where the handling machine wanders (best word I can think of to use) across the protagonists path- it had me laughing well hard. Brilliant! Almost a Monty Python moment that! ;D

To be honest, I thought the best bit of the whole film was that shot in the trailer where the FM's legs are coming over the guns on the battlefield towards the camera. I could've handled seeing 'em just shot like that throughout. Oh, and the music. Thought that was very professoinal, unlike my truly creative spelling. I agree, the shot of the FM's legs is quite brilliant. Positively speaking Tim did manage to produce two fantastic seconds of film!

I liked the opening montage, the style of the titles, the music, and I think three brief shots of the tripod legs striding along were actually effective and well done. The scene near the end with the suicided woman sitting on the windowsill was effective and shocking. Making the stargazing scene near the beginning of the movie into a husband-and-wife bonding scene was a good idea. It made their separation more poignant, and the reunion at the end more meaningful. And I thought the reunion was handled well, too.

I suppose I found the tripod's legs stomping towards an artillery cannon to be quite a good one.
I think that was the most effective shot of the tripods in the whole film.

When I asked for no insulting or negative remarks at the original post, that also meant no taking the pee out of it too. Just for once I wanted to start with POSITIVE comments on here, and we couldn't even manage that could we. Thanks to the rest of you who did actually decide to treat my post with respect.

With respect, the thread DID start on a positive note. If you wanted the thread to REMAIN positive, you should have titled it something like POSITIVE COMMENTS ONLY - NO NEGATIVITY. EVER. AT ALL. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. NO. NAUGHTY... NO!

I've got completely bored of all these negative Hines posts in the last forum, which is why I wanted something different to start this one off with. Even the same jokes keep propping up, like a broken record. I'm bored of it, and I'm taking a break. Cya.

Yep well done
As witrh Zoe the first, another one bites the dust becasue people can't be resectful to others. I've made it clesr before I'll say it one more time. If people can't either behave with maturity or respect others then it's time for moderation to be harsh. But then I'm not a moderator of these boards, so I can only venture an opinion.
Yeah I despised the film End of. For some though thats not enough.
