The fact they claimed that the film was meant to be something it was not. If Timbo came forward and said, hey, this is going to be low budget and made by amatures and semi-pros then i think people would look more favourably on the film. Simply we'd know what we'd be dealing with.As a fan vid or cheap straight to bargain bucket vid. its OK. But as the "huge achievement" it stinks.
The thing is hes still claiming the film is something its not, which is the point of delusion.
What do you all think?

I tend to agree. As a low budget piece it could be classed as ok, but yes, it was sold to everyone as a sweeping epic with the budget and expertise to match.

Definitely! Why he hyped this film up to be something it wasn't I don't know. I remember starting a thread called something like "Don't believe this cinema release rubbish any more" and said that he would blame another film company that begins with P for preventing it being shown in cinemas - and guess what!..................that's exactly what happened.
Funny innit!

I gues you've got to aim high, but have/create realistic expectations!
I'm sure the WOTW Online board would have looked an AWFUL lot different if Pendragon had not sold themselves as high as they did. I've no doubt that Tim Hines & Co put as much love and work and money (however obtained) into it as possible and probably had to sell it as high as possible to obtain funding, but he also needs to learn an awful lot about PR.
I understand him defending his work and his cast- you'd all do the same- but, sadly, his behaviour of late has been far too childish and unprofessional to retrieve any sheds of respect that may have been floating about for the man. Notice how none of the rest of the production have stood up with him since... (that I know of)

I agree with all that's been said here, but I think there was one person (who remained anonomous) who posted on the original WotWo forum who supposedly did work on the film with Tim and posted on the forum to defend him. I often liken Hines to the artillery man- when the film was released we all realised the gulf between his dreams and his powers. A shame.

I don't remember hearing anything about it *after* the movie was released, from anyone who worked with Hines on the project. Those highly unusual blanket non-disclosure agreements Timbo made everyone sign, which seemed crazy to me at the time, make a lot more sense now. Nobody who signed one of those can dis him publicly, at least not in regards to this movie.
