I've been to the London Film and Comic Con in 2004, its really good, but the best advice I can possible give is get there VERY early if you want to get signatures from the guests. If you get there like 1/2hr after the doors open you will be waiting literally 6hrs for your ticket number to come up as they go so quickly when the doors open. Here are a couple of pic. I met John-Rhys Davis! I've been to the collectormania milton keynes one a few times too and got loads more people to sign my hardback LOTR book There was a red dwarf reunion at the time too so I saw all the RD guys apart from craig charles as he was doing that thing on tv where he wore a fat suit for a few days to see how people treat him, dont now if you saw it on tv.

Conventions can be fun... I've never been to this one, but I went to Minamicon (An Anime and Manga convention) in March and it was awesome. I probably won't be around for this, though, as I tend to not be around for summer conventions.
