With the permission of our esteemed list owner, Evilnerfherder, I've set up a website for WOTW FAQ here: www.freewebs.com/wotwfaq/index.htmComments, suggestions and constructive criticism are welcome and invited. If you notice a mistake in fact, spelling or grammar, please let me know either in this thread or in a private message. I want this FAQ to be as free from error as possible.

Good work lensman! You've got some good summary's placed there; it seems a little strange at first to see the story laid out so grammatically, but it does actually make perfect sense; the most fussy of pedants would have a job to fault it!! The breakdown of FAQ's should hopefully keep us going for a while, I'll tuck in once I've got my brain in gear! PS, I'll be particularly interested to hear members views on the relationship between "The Crystal Egg" and the novel.

wikipedia's hmmm from what i know people can edit wikipeda at will so there can be misinformation out there Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Like any encyclopedia, it's good for a quick reference. But encyclopedias are secondary sources, and any *real* research (as I'm doing for my FAQ) should use primary sources. But that's beside the point-- posting a Wikipedia link will get my website more attention. However, I'll wait until it's a bit closer to being finished before posting a link there.

MAJOR UPDATE 27 FEB 2007With the addition of a major section to the FAQ, this seems like a good time to catalog the updates I've made since the website was first announced. - Major section added-- E: Time Line. The events of the novel are summarized and grouped into dates, including each day of the Martian invasion.
- Minor section added-- A: About this FAQ. Adding this allowed me to break out the Abbreviations & Glossary to its own section, and gave me a good place to add some "thank you" notes.
- Sub-sections added-- "Social Darwinism" and "Gleeful Destruction" in section D: Story Analysis.
- Separate pages. Each section now has its own web page, hopefully making navigation more user-friendly.
- Pictures added. Lots of pictures for eye candy! Nearly every page has at least one picture.
- Various corrections and edits. 'Way, way to many to list. (Lensman is a perfectionist who can't stop fiddling.) Some errors in the Story Summary were noticed as I constructed the Time Line; the Summary has been revised and corrected to match.
So check out the new look at: www.freewebs.com/wotwfaq/index.htm'

Lensman, I tried sending you an email to the one one your faq website, but never got a reply.
In section D6-
"he just rejected the idea that organized relation had some special insight into God"
Shouldn't that be 'organized religion' instead? I don't understand the term 'organized relation' if not.

My apologies WastedYuthe. I found your message in my spam folder. I very probably just saw the one-word subject "correction" from an e-mail address unfamiliar to me and assumed it was spam. If someone e-mails me about the FAQ it would help if you put "WOTW" or "FAQ" in the subject. Thanks for pointing out this error-- I'm awful when it comes to proofreading my own stuff. (*I* know what it is supposed to say! ;D)
