It all made sense, even the answeered question. The ending bueatiful, made me cry at every final twist and turned. I even get who was watching over the whole affair, it's so obvious it's easily missed.
Perfect ending, satisfactory. Space Porn, drama, mysteries unfolded and well, you just have to see it boys and gals, no spoilers for you here.
Just remember, you may have heard this song before

I've read so many sci-fi novels over the years, and many of them use God or the implication of God or fate to explain away the ending of their novels. To me this smacks of one of three reasons: Time constraints, lack of ideas or unable to explain away the story leading up to the last chapter. I was dismayed that the wonderful series ended on exactly this note. It was all God's Plan. It was all fated on faith. A whole plethora of plot threads and the best they could come up with after five years was 'God did it' Thanks a bunch. I will say this for the finale: the first half of the finale was an awesome battle sequence, however it went south fast in the second half. A big battle, a story does not make. Also Battlestar is known to be a very bleak show, and the finale ended on a uncharacteristic chirpy note. I was expecting, and hoping half the cast got killed off, not one of the major cast got offed. Very disappointed. A typical over sentimental end. I also felt the finale was rushed, there was enough material to extend the show for another season, but the powers that be either didnt want or care to continue the show beyond the fourth season and they needed to wrap the show up quickly. In all i have to say i was rather deflated by this ending, it could have been so much, much better than it was...

I personally feel that given what they had to work with they concluded it the only way they can. BSG is one of those shows where you take what you personally get from the show. Cavill's suicide for example wasn't a great surise to me, I think it was his last, screw you, too the world.
Kara's ending was not a surpsise to me, somewhat inevitable given the circumstances, but poor Appollo is left with nothing... but maybe thats how he wanted it. A fresh slate.
The reliegious overtones I think the audience took too much out off, espscially given Head Baltar's final words at the end. We all create God in our own image and in this case, it woudl seem God was truly a creation of man perhaps watching over it's creators destinies.
I'm rarely pleased with Duex Machina endings, but given what little time they had left I was pretty satisfied thhat the show didn't go with a bang, but a whimper. And what a fantastic whimper it was
