Some of you will have heard of the almost legendary 'Blue Monkey' footage. Well, it's back! Not only that but it has been added to! The version I have from 7 years ago or so doesn't have the dialogue between the Journalist and Ogilvy! www.bluemonkeystudios.com/view%204.htm

Is there any way to see this at a larger size than about 1 1/2 x 2 inches? I wish I could see it better. Looks interesting, altho the much-too-wide people look like the picture was stretched horizontally.

Well, I could have been more positive. Thanks Nerfy! It's certainly interesting, and I wish I could see it more clearly.

I didn't put it up so I have no control over the size. In fact, JWM had nothing to do with it either. As I said, I have a much better quality version (minus the Ogilvy/Journalist conversation) but posting that up would be a no-no. I'm not sure how long that clip on on the posted link will be up either...

Well in case it is taken down I thought that in the interests of "the fans" I would find out how to rip the movie of teh internets and on to my laptop. Which I have done. So there.

Nice one- thanks for the heads up, Nerfy. The depiction of the journalist and Oglivy puts me in mind of a very low budget US effort. Why does everyone make the astronomer, how do you say, a larger waist size, than the narrator? Can't just be Patrick Moore's fault, surely?! And does the journalist sound northern, or is it just the facial hair?? LOL! I'm not being negative, I'm really not- just observations! I like their rendering of the tripods though and the way they move. The Thunderchild footage is great too. What was this actually used for? Was it a pitch at getting the contract for the Tour/Movie CGI? Towards the videogames, perhaps, or just a showcase for the animation studio?

Would Sir like the moon on a stick as well? Yes, and while you're at it, I prefer my moons strawberry flavored. But I'll settle for CUSTARD!

Thanks Nerfy I've always wondered what it was like.
Just a question that came to my mind - do you know why that footage was created?

I believe it was a tester. Jeff has been looking at making a film for years.
