Yes I meant to post this up yesterday. Looks good for a low budget piece. Definitely hints of Alien Nation in there

Ah yes, seen the trailers for this on the Telly, and my brother went to see it on Saturday Night. He really enjoyed it, and would (and will) definitely go and see it again

Yes I came across a trailer for this on U-Tube a couple of weeks ago, the aliens look insect like, it was hard to tell as they were pixled out. I meant to post it but forgot. Sorry.

The missus and I made a special effort to see this a few days ago. And the both of us are still pretty blown away. While there are a few moments of Alien Nation déjà vu I agree, ( Cronenberg's The Fly as well), this movie remains unique in both substance and style. This is not so much a movie about aliens as it is about control, caste and hierarchy.
This is a thought provoking movie. A movie where systems and goverments will sacrifice anyone. Including their own, to gain answers and keep media at bay. And yes, while it touches the racism nerve more than once, it doesn't try to hammer it home like some focal point.
As for Sci-Fi prerequisites look no further. Aliens, blood, gore, exploding bodies (lots of them), alien weapons and some really cool technology. It's all here. A gritty, hardcore movie that moves fast. Will definitely be seeing it again!
Get ready to enjoy...

Saw this last night ....bloody fantastic! It starts of as a sort of Blair-Witch/Cloverfield-documentary/evidence-tapes style of filming but run by the (south African) government if you know what I mean and it was a strange experience, but started to turn into a standard action movie style by the end. I find the south African accent really funny so the whole movie was entertaining just because of that (don't mean to offend, just saying) The guns were without doubt the coolest movie guns I've seen, not necessarily the shape and look of them but their effect of their targets. Zapping, vapourising, blowing to bite-size chunks, anti-grav guns, everything you'd expect in a console game like half life or something. They even fired a pig at someone!! Loads of blood, loads of shooting, aliens, mech robots, south African accents, soldiers, spaceships, bloody great film. there is one big plot hole I found though, why did the ship arrive there though?! they don't explain that from what I saw, but even so, really really REALLY good. the graphics were top notch and the monsters look very realistic which really is a prerequisite these days and they certainly nailed it. I didn't even realise it was a Peter Jackson film until his name came up at the start of the showing, nice to know he's still doing big things. A must-see it if you like, The Fly, Alien, Cloverfield .etc

I agree, best film ive seen at the cinema in a long time. Grotey above hit the nail on the head. I concur with his review.
As for the plot hole mentioned i didnt see it that way. I presumed the ship arrived there out of desperation, the prawns were all in a bad way and i assumed they turned up on Earth hoping they would get help.
