As usual with my crappy old pc it's not loading right. Do you know for sure that it's not the BBC one? |

You gotta love Mark Gattiss. Now The League of Gentlemen and his Dr Who writing has given him some real power, he seems to be using it wisely. He helped bring forth the excellent 'Sherlock' as well as recent BBC 4 updated live 'Quatermass' adaptions. Now this. Brilliant!  |

Well I've had a look around and silverlocusts is right. It's not the BBC one and it's being made in America. Unfortunately it looks like it will be set in America at the beginning too - Victorian America. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:MichaelQSchmidt/The_First_Men_In_The_Moon_in_3-D_(film)Not a good idea in my books as Victorian America isn't in the book and it has a different feel to it than Victorian Britain. |

Thanks for those links, the BBC4 version looks great, Wells wrote this book with a certain amount of comedy in it and it looks like Mark Gattiss has got it just about right.
I don't think I'll be bothering with the 3D American version, it looks...... how can i put this politely?......... I can't, it looks shite! ;D
