Well i walked into the cinema with an open mind and come out of it again equally openminded. (As in that much of the film has leaked out already.) Basically in a nutshell go and watch the film for the action and sfx. If you want emotional drama, go look at your navel, the acting was dire, the plot basic, script piss poor, yet i enjoyed it. More than i enjoyed Cloverfield. At least in Skyline you got some cool battles not seen over a hill or lost in the corner of a shaky lens. If you want Monsters style emotional drama, go see monsters. If you want to see whosh, boom, die alien scum... then this film is for you. 6.5 out of 10: For killy shooty. 1.0 out of 10: for emotional baggage. PS: On another side point i was a little surprised that the ending was almost identical to a short story i wrote way back when i was in college for my English GCSE, the reason the aliens are here was almost the same reason the aliens were here in an invasion story i wrote, however i thought my version was done better... I should have been a story writer. Oh well!

Sounds like it's worth a watch. When it comes to alien invasion films give me big battles and hold the emotional baggage!
