I'm back... and been having way too much fun with Lego Digital designer.. The legs are articulated, but the hood and heatray also swivels, the cockpit opens, and the cage on the back is removable and has an opening top.. and it's on lego.com, so you can have one too! Attachments:

I'd buy it. Of all the Legotistical tripods I've seen on the internet, I have to say this is the least bulky.

Nice tripod. Legos has changed a lot since I last played with it... but that was about 40 years ago. ;D

It's now time for everybody's favourite time of the years: Making LC feel old! Here goes:
The first time I played with Legos was the mid-1990's. The last time was five years ago when I made a little Michael Trim tripod. It's not much, but I still have it.
