's a good movie- and that poster's FAR better than the DVD cover.
There's occasional mention of Day Watch around, but I guess we'll see- the biggest grossing Russian film ever- they're hardly gonna leave it alone, are they?

Yes, it was a very good film, apart from one or two bits of dubious acting. The atmosphere, storyline, effects etc are all great. The second one is out already I think entitled Day Watch (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0409904/). Don't know what the third is to be called.

Don't know what the third is to be called. Dusk Watch? Early Evening Watch? During the day, but whilst there is an eclipse, so it looks like its night, because its dark, but its actually day, which really confuses people who woke up when it was like that not knowing there was going to be an eclipse, to preumably hilarious repercussions Watch?

Better than that plastic casio calculator watch you've got Violence doesn't solve anything, but in your case, at least it will make me feel better

Ok, watched Nightwatch last night with Nerfy, not sure if this is entirely fair but...I was a little disappointed.
I don't know whether its just me, but I kinda didn't get it. I mean, I understood the storyline as they explained it, but there were lots of holes and bits that were very implicit. Like for instance, they didn't really explain what the Others actually were, or why they were, or what they were doing. They just said they existed, and that was kind of it. And they seemed to be crap as well. They spent the whole time getting beaten up.
Dunno, it was a good film and everything, but I can't help but think that if that was a Hollywood film, exactly as it is, but without the Russian obviously, it would probably get slagged off. I'm a big fan of world cinema, and so was really looking forward to seeing this, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me.

Hang on, are we certain this film wasn't made by Pendragon? lol ;D Yes. For example, you can watch this film and: a) Enjoy it b) Not want to kill yourself rather than watch the whole thing.
