It must be better than the drab, thoughtless kack that AvP is. Requiem might turn out to be as cliched as hell but it looks exciting, and in the right hands cliches work!
As long as they haven't shown the entire film in that trailer.....

it certainly looks decent. I have the dvd of AvP, and it's worth it only for last 20 minutes orso, the stuff with the predator and the human female interacting. This looks MUCH better!

the stuff with the predator and the human female interacting. This looks MUCH better! Definitely, is the only time in the film when you feel some suspense. Is there a deleted scene set back in 1904, or did I dream it?

I like the look of this. I always preferred the slower Alien films though- Alien and Alien 3.
I liked the idea of a film featuring the jockeys/derelict but as a prequel- the events leading up to the crash on LV-426. But with no human/English dialogue- verbal or subtitled. Not the most commercial idea, I know- but would make an interesting movie or even a series of cut-scenes during the plot of another movie- now THAT would be interesting.

Yes, that would be interesting. Could be filmed like a foreign indie film with the alien language subtitled throughout.

Sorry to put a downer on this guys, but i just think "what a sack of crap this looks" they ruined both the alien and predator films it with the first AvP film and now they're dragging it out for a second pointless film. Very little story, crappy acting far too much emphasis on CGI effects. Bring back real film making where the story and characters were priority! Will not be seeing this one

So negative. But a fair point, based on previous AVP form....
No more ways of explaning the Incas and prehistory of man. Especially as abysmally as in the first AVP. If only it had been based more on the comics, or even the games- AVP2 had an ok, if slightly cliched for the genre, plot.
A sense of mystery is what this all lacks now- we know all it's secrets, so there's not much more to grab the imagination.

Just imagine if the graphic novels were live. Now that be worth it, especially the aliens ones.

Can't say i,m impressed and i,m a original fan of the A L I E N movies. Loved the Dark Horse Comics but these 2 AvP Films just veer away too far from the orignal Dark beauty and horror of the classic A L I E N still imo the greatest movie ever made. D.F.
