I have started, or tried to start, collecting DVD's of old 50's sci fi and horror flicks, (Tarantula, The Deadly Mantis, The Giant Claw... etc.) I am trying to remember one which had an alien (obviously female) which glowed or glittered, anyway she was shiny and her very touch could kill a rattlesnake. Does anyone remeber such a movie?

Yes. I was born in 60. And I remember staying up late on Friday and Saturday nights with my younger brother watching these gems on a 12" black and white TV. Lights are off. The sound is down low and we are crowding the screen straining to hear. Listening also for the sound of our parents footsteps, then if we heard them we'd quickly turn of the TV and jump into bed. We were sneaky little sh-ts.

The movie with a the shimmering female alien with the deadly touch was... was...
THE ASTOUNDING SHE-MONSTER
I downloaded the bittorrent, must be 40 years since I saw it.
WAS NOT worth the wait. bad acting, bad production, bad plot, bad everything. Tickled to death to get it.
