"Labyrinth" was pretty good, I enjoyed it, and think it's worth seeing more than once, altho I wouldn't call it a "great" movie. OTOH I thought "Willow" was pretty much a waste of time and celluloid. It's like Lucas only had one story to tell, so he re-told "Star Wars" in a fantasy setting. Well dang, George, "Star Wars" already *is* a fantasy, you just put it in a SF setting! Look: An orphaned farm boy is given a magical sword, which belonged to his dead father, by a kindly wizard. The boy goes off to rescue a beautiful princess who has been captured by an evil wizard, and his being held prisoner in an impregnable fortress. Now if that's not a fairy tale, then I don't know what is!

The best way to really appreciate WILLOW is to read the book. There's alot that isn't in the film.

Oh? Was that an original book that Lucas adapted? Or are you talking about a novelization of the movie?
