While it's a great idea (although the thought of meeting some of you lot gives me the willies... oi, no chortling at the back!), I wonder if the diverse spread of the members of this, arguably the best board in the world (and I'll argue about it for approx 2 seconds then lurch off in search of a drink), might not be conducive to such an occurrence: viz a viz, we're all over the bloody place, innit? However, I already know, live close to and have had many a beer with Richard Burton (NOT the great late lamented thesp, voice over bloke and top piss artist... I, of course, mean the ginger Mod of this shambles and not much lamented, published English author and piss artist) and Poyks has, several times, shared a cup or two of something warming (and I don't mean Cup-a-soup) with us (and a thoroughly weird pissed up holiday in Wales with me) and I'm looking forward to meeting his missus in some near future date. I dunno how others feel about it, but I'm game for some sort of meet up. I'd better be invited or I'll ban the whole bally lot of you!  Thing is, it's been brought up before and never quite happened. We'll see what (if any) suggestions people come up with if sucking sausages in Munich is too ambitious.  |

I'm up for a meet up too. As Nerfy's already said, I know him and Poyks well already, so I'm happy enough to meet the rest of you strange lot! (I count myself as a strange un too!). If Munich is a problem for people we could arrange other meet ups. No reason why UK members can't meet up here somewhere in the meantime.

The first step is to find out if there is some kind of event going on that we could all use as an excuse to meet up. A Rock concert or something that we could all act stupid and childish at, or normal if that's your bag. Failing that, we could have a massive piss up at say, Rusti's pad. A weekend of drinking sounds good to me. I could bring some of my special 'moonshine'.  A bit out of the way for Tyneside I know, unless something else crops up more central. I'm serious about this. I hear enough of people on other boards saying 'We should get together'. Life is too short to miss out. Any idea, however small, will be entertained, taken for a pint, taken on a tour of the local strip clubs and dragged back to it's hotel room and dumped unconcious on it's bed. ;D I know a few of your locations. I'm just north of London. |
