Personally, I like it without claws, but I want to know what other people think.

Also everyone, I'd appreciate if you posted a message along with your vote, so I can see who voted for what. But nobody HAS to do this...

Without claws, because a tentacle has to be boneless and fleshy, right? Well, since claws have to be tough and bony, then how could a tentacle have a claw on the end of it? It's illogical and unnatural! (By now you should have realized that I majored in physics and biology.)

Like the TroC avatar! Now it just needs blinky lights! Oh, and what is it exactly you both like better without the claws? I'm still working on that one.

Strange as it may seem, since I am also a bit of a biologist, I just thought that Tripods with claws looked kinda dorky (no offence to anyone who made their's with claws )! But good point Omega !

[glow=red,2,300]Also to some extent the claw takes away from the advantages of having tentacles in the first place.[/glow]

Instead of claws, why don't they put a suction cup or two at the end of each tentacle? It prevents you from having to work out the complex leverage system in the claws.

Or just a 'clutching bar'. What does that mean? Is it for hitting people.
I'm confused. Please help me

Tenticles seem more alien and fit in with the pseudo-organic movement of the machines

If you have tentacles, you probably don't really need claws... ...although I do think that Handling Machines should have both.
