Thanks DE. I'm pleased with it and the few who have read the finished work seem to think it's got a chance. We shall see!

Illustrations? Well, it's a brilliant idea and one that has been raised before. I think that, if it can be worked out, I would like to use Poyks' Human Fighting Machine image, which he kindly created for the story some time back, as the cover at the very least. There's something really quite haunting about it. Maybe he or someone else might like to do some more illustrations for it as well, I don't know. It might depend on the flexibility of any publishers who might be interested in the book and whether anyone wants to illustrate the thing in the first place. TBH, I don't really know enough about that sort of thing to know how it will go. Ill help you with that if you want?

I'll bear that in mind, Rusti. Thanks! First I have to get the thing accepted, then I can discuss that kind of thing...

If it is accepted, I could knock something up to put on youtube if you would like? I think it would be a fairly effective way of getting word out. Anyway, that could be discussed later on.

Good luck with your submissions, mate! I look forward to reading it. I'm working on a novel at the moment (nowt to do with WotW though) and I know how gruelling it can be. The self-doubts, the revisions, the hideously demanding editing! Best of luck to you - oh, and I've posted another chapter to the Great Invasion. See how Radio 1 DJ Mark Radcliffe reacts to news of the invasion!

Congrats on finishing your novel, Nerf! That's a remarkable acomplishment! One to be right proud of. Like everyone here, I hope it gets published soon. It certainly deserves to be. I greatly look forward to reading it, and consider a copy reserved !

Congratulations Nerfy! Good to hear that you've finished the novel - I can't wait to see how it turned out. Best of luck in finding a publisher. I'll certainly be on the list of people wanting to buy a copy once you've found one. ^^ As for illustrations - I'm sure several of the members of this site would happily have a crack at it - and with Poyks's awesome pic and Rusti offering to illustrate it too, I'm sure you're novel will be done great justice.

Thanks Lupe, I'm really set on having Poyks image as the cover and Anim8tr's superb rendition of 'Nautilus' has really made me want to include more illustrations. Some of the huge talent being shown here has really fired me up. If I can get an agent, this is definitely something I will discuss with them! How cool would a glossy version of the book be with some colour illustrations?

Aww... poor Nerfy. *Hugs* Just hang on in there and don't give up. Even some of the UK's most popular authors were turned down by several agents before they managed to finally get their first book published. Best of luck - I really do hope that you can find a publisher soon. All the best.
