I'm very happy to present to all of you my latest model. It's final design, is a fusion of concepts hammered out over the past six months or so. Build time with textures took around ten weeks.

Mean scale is 40-42 meters. Modeled in Truespace 5. Custom textures produced in Mehidi Kaleidoscope.
As always, many thanks to to the mods and all of you for such a kick ass forum! And for providing a platform for artists such as myself.

And now without further ado, my latest little beastie...

It's also quite different from the "norm" of FM designs. The body is very tank-like and also reminds me of the "Wipeout" crafts. You've even put a hinge on the basket lid! Magnificent!

It's great to see some more of your work, Anim8tr.
That's an awesome machine there! The textures and detail present there are fantastic - and I like it's streamlined shape, the 'strong yet flexible' look of the tenticles and the originality of the tripod's design. It'd be great to see it with some form of background.

Keep up the good work. Your art is awesome. ^^

That's exactly what i think. Great machines you designed dude, keep up your superb work. If you accept some advise, i would change the cockpits design, i can almost visualize a human inside commanding the tripod, and that cannot be of course.

Thanks for both your suggestion and compliments, Reppu! Creative advice is always welcome and appreciated!

I'd agree the current canopy design appears rather man-made. Perhaps a rounded approach to the design would make them look more alien and streamlined. I'll toss some ideas around and see what I come up with.
