OK i've seen the new Bond film today.
Its Brilliant for ONE BIG gripe.
Editing: shit. Action editing to be specific. Its a blur, quick cuts far too fast making the fights a jumble.
Apart from that its such a cool film, acting is top notch. Craig is a brilliant Bond of the modern age. Sharp, cool and cold as ice. (One scene has him looting his friends body after hes killed, 'wont miss that' he says!) Somehow i can relate to Bond, hes a man whos screwed up and lost a lot , yet he realises in the end he has to forgive himself and go full circle and move on. All of us have had that in one way or another.
Its a slick Bond of a new age well worth a watch, just take some paracetamol for the action bits.
7.5 out of 10. Brilliant but with avoidable flaws.

Shame about the editing, but still very excited. Looking forward to watching it ASAP.

I really didn't enjoy QoS very much. Craig was awesome, ditto for Dench, but the action scenes were over edited and it was very aimless plot wise. I'd give it a 5.

I was trying to decide if I would see this or not. I do like the look of the new Bond, and of course anything with Dame Judy Dench gets my money from the jump.

I left the cinema after watching casino royale thinking WWOOOOOOWWWW!!
I left the cinema after watching Quantum of Solace being rather bored and thankful the end came. Myself and anyone I've spoken to that have seen it cant explain what Quantum was. The plot was very confusing to me ad didn't get explained.
I was very disappointed at this film even though I love the new image bond has gotten after Brosnan turned him into a gimmicky joke but the fire to see more has been put out by this film.

Saw this last night- great film. Not quite as great as Casino Royale (which had such a sense of 'occasion'- maybe just because it was the Bond reboot), but great nonetheless.
Theme tune was a good song (and re-used the guitar riff from the Chris Cornells effort- nice touch and I did like the Casino Royale theme), but not very Bond. I think this was mainly from the lack of David Arnold's involvement. I'm sure they'll learn for next time.
The action editing didn't bother me as much as above comments perhaps set me up for- the worst was the car chase at the start. Either it got better as it went on, or I just got used to it. Though one thing that editing did was give an impression of the intensity and adrenaline hit of the events being portrayed. So it did have plusses.
I though the end was curiously understated- kind of left me thinking "huh?", but I don't think it detracted from the film at all.
It's official though- Daniel Craig is definitely equal to Connery and potentially the best Bond overall.
M really kicked arse in this one too- it was nice to see M in the action, rather than just bookending the film in the office, like M's of old.
But where's Q? Dammit....
