I'm trying something new. As I've said some years back, I have a game called Garry's Mod. Basically, it's a sandbox, or do whatever, program. Players can build things, role play, make movies and pictures, fight, whatever. So I've found what's called a ragdoll- an ingame model that can be posed. The ragdoll is the Trim FM. So here is a screenshot I made of Dead London. I didn't make the model, but that doesn't mean I didn't put effort into this. I can, however, make stuff like artillery, warships, and cylinders. Tell me what you all think and I'll make some more of these. Also, I'm still making my new tripod, so don't go thinking I've abandoned it. And for you newer members ("new" as in joined after January '08) I recommend watching War of the Servers. I'll give the link to the thread I started way back when. www.evilnerfherder.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fanwotw&action=display&thread=96

First you'll need to make a Steam account. Don't worry, it's free. After you have an account simply type "Garry's Mod" in the search box in the upper right of Steam's homepage. There are two versions of the game. You'll want the one that says Garry's Mod, which costs $10.00. Garry's Mod 9 is free, but it's old and only used by what we call "mingebags." Mingebags are players that like to ruin other players' fun. After you've gotten Garry's Mod, head on over to www.garrysmod.org . There you'll find files you can download files to add to the game If you want to just pose WOTW stuff, then search "tripod" on the homepage. But don't limit yourself to that, all these addons are free. For every beginner, it's advisable to download the PHX model pack for building stuff. If you want help learning the basics of building, consider adding me as a friend on your Steam friends list and we can go onto a server and play together. But I'll probably only be able to help your if you're in the US or Canada. If you're in Europe or something like that, the gameplay would likely be laggy for one of us.

Yeah, but the other one is too big for the houses in this picture. You'd only be able to see one of its feet.

I'm an American, so don't worry. I'll have to give it a look. It sounds fun. ;D How do you play?

If you're asking for a tutorial, the forum isn't exactly the best place for me to give it. A tutorial would be best if we were both playing on the same server. If that's what you want, my Steam name is currently Crazy Ivan. If there are other Crazy Ivan's you see, I am the one with the black version of the avatar shown here.
An alternative tutorial could likely be found on youtube. There are also some short tutorials that come with the game.

I'll check out Gmod sometime. I'm watching War of the Servers right now, it's awesome. Though might I suggest subtitles? It would help tell what they're (mostly the admins with the masks) are saying.

Made another screenshot. This one I had to take rather quickly, because the green trail is caused by moving the cylindrical model in the game, and the trail fades in a few seconds. Earth in the background is part of a custom map that I downloaded a while back, and it proved perfect for this shot. The one thing that bothers me is that the trails in the game are 2D, so there was no helping that. Do I have any artillery?
