Greetings fellow fans. I am currently working on a movie set 20 years after the H.G. Wells novel and require some assitance from some one expierenced in converting 3D odels onto posable figures for Poser and DAZ Studio. I am working on two types of martian for this project and am building it in OBJ for format in Softimage XSI. I want to animate the entire film in DAZ Studio for release later this year. If anyone can help me on this project I would appriciate it most dearly. Basically it's a hunt the alien movie with a horrorfic twist.
Plot: Bodies are washing up on the Thames in London, completey drained of blood. But they exhibit none of the illnessess of the homeless, they cannot be identified by dental or any other records and there is no evidence of any real harm done to the bodies other than the drainage of blood or the rate of decay. This is of course concerning to the Government who want to keep a lid on any potential panic of a Martian in the city. So they call in an outsider, a survivor of the initial invasion, who has fought face to face with these creatures and survived. Sent down into the Subteranina world London, he and his rag tag team must play cat and mouse with a creature that may or may not be a martian survivor. Only problem is, the creature in question is perhaps more deadly than it's predesscors and not everything about is what they expected.
and by the way... hi there

Hi Ouroboros and welcome. This certainly sounds interesting, and we do have some very talented people here who can possibly be of help. Good work!

Hi Ouroboros,
Sounds like a very interesting project. I can't help you with the animation, but I could help you with a voice in the film if needed, as I'm sure others can on here. I am English, but I'm from Stockport originally, so I have a Mancunian twang! I can also help with the script if needs be, as I do make films myself, and have some experience at this. Good luck.

Thank you both. Voice actors are somethign I am always looking for as well as help with the script. Basically it's not the animjation I need but someone with Poser 5 to 7 to rig the martian character for me as I cannot do it in Daz (a little tool they negleagted to include apparantly)

Hi Ouroboros & welcome to the forum.
I'd be more than happy to help out should you need a female voice in the film.
Keep us updated with the project & good luck.

Ah. Sounds ace from your brief synopsis. I really hope I don't come across as a party pooper... I could be totally wrong, but I guess I should point out that, from what you have said, it sounds like it might share some similar plot points to some in my own sequel, TWoTW: Aftermath, (although that is set months after the war, not years). Rather than there be the future possibility of either of us being accused of plagarism (my novel is, as yet, unpublished... except for the first draft that was put up on the net a year or so ago... and this could be either a blessing and/or the problem here) I'd appreciate it if we could discuss the finer details at some point. I hope you'll understand if I have got it wrong.

It might but it might not, so th best thing to do is to wait and see. I hevnt read your sequal so I wouldn't know On that front though, to be fair, a little plagurism is pehaps in tow here as I am honouring a long dead friend of mine with whom I worked on this idea a while back as a comic book that never got completed, but her family are okay with it and fully supportive of the idea

I didn't say you had read it, nor was I even remotely suggesting that you had copied any of it. But as my first draft has been online for over a year, I thought you should be aware of it. God knows I get 'Scarlet Traces' comparisons about mine occasionally... although my story is really nothing like it. Not to worry.

Welcome aboard, Ouroboros. I suggest you have a read of Nerf's sequel. Mainly because it's a damn good read for any WOTW fan, but also it might be a good idea just to be aware of what's in it.

Problem is, it's not available anymore. I'm still hoping it will be published for good.
