www.compleatseanbean.com/outlaw/outlaw.htmlBased on fact this action film centers on a man sick of the Police in the UK being next to usless (which they are) and he decides to do something about it by taking up weapons and going after all the muggers, thugs and rapists himself. A film like V for Vendetta and Children of Men its a damning eye on the state of what Britain is and is becoming. www.outlawthemovie.com/trailer is here. Film is out now.

I love Sean Bean, he was pretty much my hero as a kid when I watched Sharpe. Slightly sceptical as to this film though - sounds a bit 'Michael Winner' to me. Might watch it though, as I have a cinema card and so get to see as many films as I want for a tenner a month.
The ultimate film in that ilk is of course, "Taxi Driver", which has some disturbing points to make.
Children of Men was in my top 5 movies last year. Didn't think much of V for Vendetta though - far prefered the comic.

I'd not heard of that before but it looks like a hell of a movie. That hunter game on the site is mad!

Yep, looking forward to seeing this. A gritty modern British retake on Death Wish. Sean Bean is excellent (I loved him in Sharpe too) and Bob Hoskins is just a legend. Bring it on.

I do love Sean Bean in the "Sharpe" series, and also his performance in "The Fellowship of the Ring". And yes, the plot sounds exactly the same as "Death Wish". Here's hoping the Brit version is more than the simple revenge fantasy that "Death Wish" was.
