I also got to watch Wonder Boys yesterday.
It was less intense than Capote - more of a comedy/drama. Michael Douglas is very good as a novelist whose one success hit it big time, but has not managed to finish a follow up. He’s working as a literature teacher at a high brow college. Robert Downey Jnr is also excellent as his friend and agent and Toby McGuire has a strong supporting role as the troubled student Douglas takes under his wing. The strong cast also includes Richard Thomas, Rip Torn, Katie Holmes and Frances McDormand (the woman sheriff from Fargo). It has some great comic moments, as well as some strong emotional moments. Another one worth a watch IMHO.
