I dunno. I love Team America.. I even laughed at American Pie. I can appreciate a dark sense of humour... but... is this a case of that idiot, Uwe Boll, getting money under false pretences... again? www.postal-the-movie.com/This clip has caused particular controversy and it doesn't take a genius to see why... thelastboss.com/post.phtml?pk=2589Has Boll just gone too far or is he just trying too hard? Is he a misunderstood genius or a punch drunk bell-end? I think that, from the trailers anyway, this whole thing reeks of desperation, despite his pleas about what he says he is trying to do. I'd like to know... why do people keep letting him make movies? To be fair, I'm biased. His movies that I've had the misfortune to sit through have always been vomit of the worst kind.. I think that if he spent as much time on his movies as he does literally kicking crap out of his critics, he might actually get somewhere.

Mmm, I'm with "punch drunk bell-end" meself. It's too easy to create brainless controversy, simple because the rest of us wouldn't consider it. It's desperate, sad and disrespectful.

Hmmm... Just checked out the trailers. Those who know me will know that I'm from the "everyone has the right to express themselves how ever they want (even if they're considered a dick by the masses)" school of thought. That said I don't think that this film will be much cop. Not because it's 'too offensive', no not at all. There are some people who have used highly offensive material in a thought provoking, satircal (and often amusing) way - I'm talking Chris Morris, Bill Hicks, Peter Cook, etc... I think this film will fall on it's tits because the man making it hasn't got what it takes to make the most out of such 'shocking' ingrediants. All (in my humble opinion) he can seem to do is to pull things down to their lowest common denominator, I don't think he has the intelligence to achieve what the likes of Morris, Hicks et all have done. I also think that deep down he knows that. Having said all of that I like to spend my time being a part time drunken twat and will probably download the film, get wasted and then laugh at bits of it. The very fact that I'll probably do that, and the fact that you guys are already talking about it validates his existence, in a way. Phew

The movie appears to be based on a video game which was considered so violent here in Aus it was refused classification....

lol BM. I agree. And yes we have gone and done that, haven't we! Gah!
CT, yes, I did play the game many moons ago - it got an 18 classification here if I remember rightly. Was mildly interesting to play, but got bored of it quite quickly.

I've come under fire myself for allowing controversial issues on here recently and if I think a subject is worth talking about, I shall continue to do so. I like to think that each member here is grown up enough to avoid things they don't want to talk about. My problem, here, isn't so much with the subject matter of this movie as it is about the inherent crapness of everything Boll touches. As BM says satire isn't easy to pull off and, once again, Uwe seems to have shown himself to be inept.

What I find reeeeally offensive is the download time on the R trailer- I couln't be arsed to watch the second half of the trailer, so I doubt I'll be popping to the flicks to see this one.
Oh well...
NEEEEXT!

Well I found it funny! One way that humanity is able to deal with atrosities is to be able to laugh in the face of them.

I did like the game Postal 2. Unlike Postal, part 2 is sort of a 3-D shoot m up. And I really do think that the game is so excessive violent, it rather looks silly and funny.
Funny game. I'll give this movie a chance. ;D
