Brightness Reef, the first novel of the Uplift Storm trilogy by David Brin, was talked about being made into a movie back in 1999. Enders Game has been tossed around for years. and i'm pretty peeved about the Rama thing, I was always hoping for that one.

For all you fans starving for more Ghostbusters: There's a Ghostbusters fan film called Return of the Ghostbusters and for a live-action fan film, it's actually worthy of being on the big screen. And the special effects aren't cheesy! The acting is great, too! No way is this a B-Movie! I think Hollywood should get a team of special effects superheroes, edit the special effects only so they look awesome, and put it on the big screen so it's the true Ghostbusters 3.

Things may not be all bad for Rama- in a recent AICN interview with David Fincher, he still appears to be involved with this project and has said that it's a very difficult book to make into a film, as certain parts of it just wouldn't work for cinema.
So here's hoping.
Probably old news to most as well, The Hobbit with Jackson at the helm seems to be on again, too- he and New Line seem to have sorted things out and 2 films are planned- the book and then the events around the book, from Tolkiens writing. Sounds very interesting- McKellan is keen to get back on board as Gandalf.
