The remake of the 70's hit The wild Geese has been confirmed with Ray Winstone and Daniel Craig rumoured to be playing Richard Harris and Roger Moore roles respectively. The other rumour is that sean bean will be the lead role for Richard Burton's character.
The origonal producer of TWG has come out of retirement to personally oversee the project. Hes keen to do a version based on the current worlds climate. A British version of Black Hawk Down set against the back drop of a certain Southern African dictatorship.
All this though is very fluid. Ive been on a dozen googled sites and they all say something diff. The only thing they agree on is that it will be a gritty no noncence film like the first and its happening.

yes i think this will be one of those remakes that might work if it keeps to the political atmosphere of today, like the first worked because it dealt with the events of its time.

The original is one of my all time favourite films, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that they do it justice. Certainly sounds like the right sort of cast, so that's promising.

I hope they pull this one off. The Wild Geese was one of my favourite films when I was a wee nipper.
