...on the worst film EVER made. Seriously, its appauling. If I hadn't got an unlimited pass card to my cinema I would want my money back. It seems like they spent 99% of their budget on effects, 0.5% on acting talent, and 0.5% on the plot. First off I cant believe they gave the cavemen and women the modern english language, if you're going to give them dialogue at least give it a very basic caveman ugg-ugg slant to it or something, not normal language for goodness sake. I'd have preferred a fully subtitled film than what they did, coz did they even have legible dialect back then? not sure. Also I dont know if you know but cave-people invented the push-up bra, mascara and teeth whitener! go figure! heh. Please, if you are thinking about seeing this film, dont. go see something even remotely worth it. This has firmly taken its place as my worse film I've ever seen. I wanted to leave 15-20mins into it but stayed incase it got better......it didnt. And to top it off, they 100% ripped off the 'hero throwing his spear at the god to show he's normal' scene from the end of 300. Its absolutely identical, im sorry but that's shamefull /end rant [edit] Ooo post 400 for me  |

I think that the rant was more impressive, but i had no plans to see it in the first place, so I won't change my mind.

Good grief, only 10,000 years ago? We're talking late stone age Homo sapiens, for heavens sake, not Neanderthal man! Do you think modern tribes still living at the hunter-gatherer stage, for example in the Amazon jungle and in the interior of New Zealand, have no more words in their language than a few grunts? How about the Eskimos; them too? I haven't seen the film, so I have no opinion on the quality. But your criticism of them having a fully developed language is *way* off-base. As for them speaking English-- well, they could have created some made-up language, and subtitled the entire film. I suppose purists would have preferred that, but it does limit a movie's audience. Many simply refuse to watch subtitled films. |

I wasnt saying dont give them any language, thats just silly, they obvious would have had a language, but they were pretty damn well spoken in the film, and as you quoted me, I said give it an ugg ugg slant to it, to make it a little more believable, and with a film like that every penny counts, but they speak very well, which I cant believe was the way it was 10,000 years ago. and yes, worse than pendragon's |

Ok my worlds worst film ranking has quickly changed to another one now, I found it hard to believe that it was possible but it has happened. This shitty film has had its top spot taken away from it by 'Meet the Spartans' Oh my ferkin god what a piece of crap. I lasted a whopping 4mins 48secs before turning it off. Ok yeah I could have given it a bit more time to get better but my brain had melted by that point and I was crying blood. I dont know how on earth someone can make tripe like that and get it approved and then go ahead spending so much on promotion for it! They were just referencing things from random movies and putting them in for no reason, shreks baby, happy feet penguin .etc .etc not funny!!! If you haven't seen it and think it might be as funny as the other mediocre spoof films out there. Save your money. This is all |

Yeah, that's contemporary Hollywood films (made in USA) films for you. They do whatever it takes to entertain an audience, even if they feel the need to butcher good stories such as WotW. Much of modern-day US culture doesn't give a shit about stories as long as they get their blood and gore FX. One of the reasons I don't enjoy life here.
