It's with Nerfy's permission that I can do this. You might have seen in my sig that I have a web site - Good Games. www.freewebs.com/goodgamesofficalsite/index.htmI have completed two games: 1) War of the Worlds 2) Cold War:Europe Now time to give some credit where it's due. For those that download the War of the Worlds game you might reconise that the pieces were desgined by our own Luperis. Also, I must thank Nerfy for advice he's been giving me over the making of the games and for allowing me to do this. Please have a look around and tell me what you think.

Ace! I'll be giving those a go soon. Can I make a suggestion? How about screenshots of the boards on the relevant pages?

Oh. Also, I can't download the games. I get a page with a load of garbage on it instead. Any ideas?

Oh. Also, I can't download the games. I get a page with a load of garbage on it instead. Any ideas? Hm, I'll have to look into. I got that on another computer but I assumed it was an isolated incident. Obviously not. Can I ask what version of Internet Explorer you're using? It may having something to do with it. Anyway, I'll get cracking and post an answer A.S.A.P

Hmmm, I'd never heard of the .ace file compression format, but my ZipGenius program was able to unzip it.
Regarding the .pub documents, is it possible to get a version of those in another format, such as .pdf or .doc, for those of us who don't have MicroSoft Publisher? I tried to open it with my copy of OpenOffice but no joy. According to what I just read online, Pubisher can save a document in .doc format, which is much more accessible to most people.

Interesting. The .ace compression comes from WinArchive. I'll take your advice regarding Publisher to Word format. Suppose that's what these early days are about - finding problems and fixing them.

Update: @evilnerfherder - I'm going to go on the assumption that you have Internet Explorer 7 (As another computer I tried downloading my games on to test it came up with the same problem as you have - meaningless garbage). If you go to the 'Download - How to' section, I've left instructions about allowing the computer to read it, I hope then you might be able to download them. If you're using something different - let me know and I'll see what else can be done. Lensman - I've changed the file formats from .pub into .doc It also had the effect of making the file sizes smaller. If you redownload it, and try again, I hope you have more success.

Yep, that solved it. IE 7 is a bitch at times.

Good to see the final game finished and up on the site, CT. ^^ I really enjoyed designing the pieces for it - a great excuse to procrastinate from my regular university work and create some more Martian machine designs. ;D Now I just need to find a way to Unzip the file so I can see the completed game...

Yes that would be an idea. Thanks for your help Lupe. ;D I've got many more board games planned and if anyone has any suggestions for a board game they'd like to see made, please let me know (I'd like you to suggest it on my own forum - mainly so we don't clog this place up but I'll still think about it anyway even if you do post here) and I'll see what I can do.
