I watched this last night - Sunday 02/09/07 - on BBC1. I had seen it advertised and because I watched Skins (which I enjoyed) who also starred Nicholas Hoult, I decided to give it a watch. I thought this was an excellent drama. It revolves around a young man (David) who has a brother (Ben) with Downs Syndrome, and the families’ sacrifices so that this brother can have the best possible life. But these sacrifices have gone too far for David to handle. His life - besides his brother - was excellent with good friends and a sexy Girlfriend. But his mother and father decide to move them to Matlock so that Ben can go to a special school. David loses his friends and his Girlfriend and begins to lose his mind. At this point he decides to kill his brother. Coming Down the Mountain is a very strong drama about acceptance and it is one I recommend catching if it is on TV again.
Did anyone else watch this?

Yeah it was excellent. The actor who played Ben was absolutely brilliant. Nicholas Hoult has been very good since his kid acting in About a Boy.
