I've been asked this before, so I'm going to do a cut and paste. Here you go; The brass tag you see on the Myspace page is from a shed my Dad bought from Market Rasen Racecourse a good few years back (he used to work there). The head groundsman was Peter Bontoft who has been long gone now, but a few decades ago he made that tag for the key to the shed that used to be the ladies changing room for the cricket club that used to be in the middle of the course. He made all the key tags, many of which I remember being hung up in the main office because I worked there in my school holidays as a kid. The old letter punches he used were pretty worn out even back then (the ones you hit with a hammer to make the letter), and he'd accidentally used the B instead if the E in "Ladies". Being the old school working class bloke that he was, he didn't want to waste the brass, so used it anyway. I love the fact that the name is a result of a simple mistake, and it's also a mark of respect to Peter. I thought it was a great name for the project because it's utterly original, and has some real life history behind it; it represents the imperfection of human nature and that's something I really like in an otherwise sterile world. Thats really cool.
