Full trailer for the film on link below; link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid348381898/bclid348522714/bctid1601302266Didn't notice a thread for this so thought I'd open a discussion on it. What do you guys think about George Lucas releasing another Star Wars movie upon us this summer in the form of the CG animated 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'? I'll see this, I have to say the trailer doesn't look that bad, but I would have much rather they had made the film in a different Star Wars time era instead of the overdone 'Clone Wars'. George is rather milking it. A television series will follow the film at the end of the year. Its out in cinemas this August. Anthony

Not that interested, saw some episodes of the TV cartoon.
I hope Lucas goes ahead with the idea of the original movies in 3D, I think that could be fun !

I'm one of those Star Wars fans who's gotten a little sick of Lucas's bullshit. Why is it the most enjoyable 'Wars hit I've had of late is playing 'Lego Star Wars'? Perhaps because the intentional humour took the edge off some of the po-facedness that Lucas has been guilty of, of late. I dunno. Anyway, I daresay I shall be catching this.

Its all a bit OTT now, yes ill watch it ill even enjoy it but when he ruins the best scene in Star wars (the Han solo Cantina scene) to make it look as if Solo was firing in self defence and not as a cold blooded killer. My respect for the man fades. As for jar Jar Binks and the Gungans... oh frakkin dear.

he ruins the best scene in Star wars (the Han solo Cantina scene) to make it look as if Solo was firing in self defence and not as a cold blooded killer. Greedo was holding a gun on Solo, and said "I've been looking forward to killing you for a long time." When Han shot him, how could anyone reasonably claim that was *not* self-defense? Han is a very long way from being a cold-blooded killer. The revamped version, where Han let Greedo shoot at him first, doesn't make Han out to be less ruthless-- it just makes him out to be an incredibly lucky idiot. Greedo had the drop on Han, in the revamped version he shot at him from a distance of less than three feet... how could he have missed?

Actually, in the DVD version (another revamp) of the Trilogy, they both shoot pretty much at the same time. Which, to me as a veteran, makes me wonder why it's there at all. More Lucas mithering. The dynamic was fine as it was, yet he has to meddle (perhaps his mate Spielberg thought it was all a bit strong... as he has with some of his own early work of late : ... and then, when there is an outcry from the millions who have made him.. well, millions, the beardy one comes up wih a 'compromise'. Luck us, eh?

It looks ok, but I don't understand why he's regurgitating old stuff. Totally pointless. It's about time that he started coming up with new ideas for a change.
