Last week i had a brief email conversation with Martin Bower. MB is one of the chief model makers and designers behind ALIEN, and the Gerry Anderson series. Outland, Blakes 7, The Tripods etc.

I chatted to him about his involvement with ALIEN and his War of the Worlds project which was aborted due to copyright issues.
He told me how many of his models are destroyed on orders from directors and higher ups. He saves what he can but often he's unable to.
He's a big WOTW fan as many of us here on the forum.
He's like me with regards to the Spielberg WOTW, and everyone knows what i think of that. LOL
He took an interest in the fact I'm from Woking and reasonably know the area we chatted about that a bit.
All i did was send him an email on his website saying how i liked his site and made a few friendly comments. He responded in kind and was very gracious.
He's in LA at the moment on another project, his skills are still in demand despite this age of CGI.
