well I'm not a particularly big fan of the film but this has nearly as big a following as star wars (well maybe an exaggeration there) but I'm a firm believer in not remaking solid cult/classic films. Some deserve remakes, some should be left well alone. This is one of those, just ike the Italian Job should have been left alone and un-yanked. Imagine someone remaking Star Wars, what a travesty that would be!

I'm not a big fan of the original either, but you can't mess with something that has such a massive global following already - that's just a recipe for disaster. Smacks of money-making greed to me.
