I generally like this movie, but one thing has always bothered me. After the first cylinder lands, you can see what looks like some kind of six-legged Martian coming out of one of the holes. The problem is, this is very different from the four-legged Martians that are seen in the rest of the movie! How did they let this slip by? Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Martians aren't supposed to have any legs at all though...

No, you're not right... I've just been away for a very VERY long time!!!

So long in fact I managed to miss the reunion project right on my doorstep, but there you go!

Look closely - the six legged martian leaving the spaceship IS one of the war machines - hence why seconds later it has left the pit and blasting people to kingdom come!

Just for clarification, the four legged martian creatures are inside the six legged machine.
