I laugh at his emo hair! Bill Nighy who was rumoured to be in the running would have done a fantastic job! Also, Colin Baker had said that he wanted Eddie Izzard to do it. Now there's a thought!

I cant stand Doctor Who.
Ive said before on another forum that the new Doctor Who should have been aimed at the audience that grew up with the show and adults in general. Nice dark scripts with a darker grittier Doctor.
RTD Russel 'Tard Dickwad, too a classic show and shit all over it. Tennant is a terrible actor that overacts to compensate for his woeful lack of talent. This show its up there with Pentimbo for utter bollocks award in sci-fi.
Look at Battlestar Galactica, excellent scripts and excellent acting, nice dark tale. Thats how Doctor Poo should have gone. I dont watch it much now its so shit i'd rather scrape my balls with sandpaper. i still catch the odd episode but all that does is renforce my belief the programme is awful.
As for the new Doc. Emo on crack?

My 2 cents worth ;D Looking back i can see that Christopher Eccelston (sp?) was a far better Dr (and actor) than i gave him credit for at the time. Rusti's right Tennant's a grinning overacting bozo who has dragged the series down to the level of a crummy sitcom, although i guess the series is now more popular than ever thanks to him. The only highlight was of course Felicity Kendal appearing in one episode but aside from that glimpse of a true actor the rest of the series has been pants (even more pants when the non acting Billie Bloody Piper reappeared...ewwwwwwwww ) Just my opinion of course I,ll get me sonic hatstand...

Bloody hell someone has agreed with me **faints**. CE was cool, i began to warm to him, he drove the show along and because of him i tolerated Bille No Talent and the Chav family. Tennant came along and within the first series i hated him, i wanted the Daleks to kill him, i hated the character. the stories became worse and this attitude of having every third rate has been 'celebs' on walk on roles just grated my teeth. Yes its more popular now but they aimed the new show at the commertial market, not at the old fans and for me thats what has ultematly killed my belief in the show. I'd like to see some movies made like the ones with Peter Cushing. A Movie Doctor, independant of the series. That be cool.
