It's been more than a year since I've started my new tripod design. I know what you're thinking, but sadly it isn't done yet. But I have decided to post my previous design here as a reward for everyone's kind patience with me. So here's my previous design, Tripod #15.

Interesting design Relyt, looking at the little pictures up in the top right of the page, one shows the top view of the fighting machine but what is the 'C' shaped thing next to it? I like the way you have the basket fitted into the body at the back and not just added on as an afterthought, I shall try and incorporate that idea into H.G. Wells Tripod if you don't mind. Well done, I like it.

Thanks Lonesome, that means a lot coming from you. The "C" shaped thing is the top view of the basket. I designed it that way so it would fit closely to the cylindrical body and so it wouldn't collide with the body when the head turns. If you notice the hole on the rear end of the head in the small picture you mentioned, that hole is right above the basket so as to permit an easy reach instead of having to wrap the tentacle around the body to reach the basket. Thanks Poyks, more coming soon(ish). That being the tripod I've been working on before I joined the forum. This one will be a cleaner design with much more detail. No problem wanting to use some of my designs Lonesome, it's my pleasure.

By the way, there are actually two legs to the front and one at the rear, the view is just angled a little to the right (the machine's left). Sorry for the confusion.

Oh no, there's no confusion mate, I can see clearly the leg arrangement on your machine (2 at the front and 1 at the rear) it's my H.G. design that has 1 leg at the front and 2 at the rear. What I have borrowed from you is the idea of the basket actually fitting into the the body and not just stuck on as an after thought.

Relyt, i like it very much, it is a mix of everything, from the tripods of Waynes War Of The Worlds, to the movie 1953, the baskets, and the tripods of H.B. Wells
Awsome!!!

The wait is now almost over everyone. This weekend, the epitome of my war machine creations will be revealed. This particular machine is the 16th and final, as, since my obsession has waned away, so has my ideas for further martian mechanical development. Keep your eyes peeled, for this 2-year-overdue drawing is about to be released for viewing pleasure.
Like my flashy intro?

It is time. The final tripod. My mind is exhausted of more ideas for these machines, so maybe I'll make some scenes. The other day I tried sketching the Thunder Child, but it ended up looking more like a tugboat out of some cartoon. Ah, but that's not what I'm here to talk about. This drawing has had far too many delays, and now the time has come to put an end to these broken promises. I said it would be here one month ago, and by God it is here at last. The final war machine, my gift to the forum for their kind patience. Hmm. Sorry about the quality of the image. I'm not very good at taking care of my drawings.
