Holy cow! My tripod immortalized in your legendary works! You, sir, are amazing. It's so beautiful, so accurate (right down to the three trombones it walks on). Excuse me, I'm just, well, shocked that you did this. I was just elated when I saw by design for the tentacle on the Ultimate Fighting Machine, but seeing my entire design... well, I suppose you can estimate my feelings towards this. This is definitely going to be my desktop. Thanks a bunch!

So did you like it or not? ;D ;D ;D It's not really the right shape for a desktop picture, I should have thought of that.

Of course I like it, what makes you think I wouldn't? And it fits on my desktop just fine.

Well, a couple years back I learned (the hard way) how sarcasm and jokes can be difficult to interpret on forums. I figured it out later though.

Lonesome, I just noticed this. You even got the tentacles exactly the same shape.

Yes, to be sure I got the legs the same thickness I laid my painting over your original drawing and I did the tentacles at the same time.

Ah, now I see how Paintshop works.

That is a good example of how Paint Shop Pro can be used. I usually start with a pencil drawing scanned into PSP and then paint over it. Here is a drawing done by Mr Poyks (I'm sure he won't mind me using his picture as an example) The Fighting Machine, the houses, the fire and smoke, the background......... everything in fact in the picture are painted on a separate layer and then all those layers are laid one on top of each other, in the correct order to create the picture. So actually a picture like this one will be made up of 50 to 60 little pictures all stuck together. But there are cheats, once you have created a little piece of a picture (an element) you can use it on other pictures, this saves a lot of time. The explosion in the bottom-left corner featured a lot in my Invasion of Earth comic, as did the fire the smoke the crows and some of the trees. if you look at the houses, all the windows and chimneys are the same, both rows of houses are the same - the ones behind are just 20% smaller.

I have just noticed, the Crow in the foreground in front of the roof is the same crow as in my Avatar. ;D
