Had a chance to see both of these films and they are well worth watching.
Slumdog really is as good as the hype it's getting. It is extremely well crafted. Acting is superb, storyline is flawless, music is brilliant and it is very clever in the way it shows extracts of the central character's life to explain how he knows the answer to each question.
Curious Case is also very good. Pitt and Cate both act their socks off and the make up and effects for Pitt getting younger (and to a lesser degree Cate getting older) are amazing. It again is very well made and quite an epic journey. Leaves you pretty damn sad at the end though, so be warned.

Two films that, just dont seem to quite touch the interest buds for me.
Slumdog to me seems: Crap quiz show, meets everyone breaking out in embarrassing singing and dancing, i need a lot of convincing before i get that image out of my head.
As for curious: Brad Pitt. Must enjoy a Brad Pitt film once before i get old...

Slumdog is very gritty and pretty damn nasty in places. There's no singing at all - it's not that sort of film. It's only called a feel good film because of the ending. The entire film is pretty brutal up to that point.

Saw Button on Friday, pretty impressive but far too long in my book. I just don't know how they got Brad and Cate to look so young!! bloody amazing work on that. Interesting story, would recommend but probably wont watch again.
Haven't the slightest interest in seeing slumdog
