How they managed to seamlessly blend live action and CG graphics for little cash i dont know.
Features the tripedial striders too.

Yep, I saw this when it made me aware of its self via STEAM advertisement message. Good, but the episode(s) are a tad short.

I've bought DVDs that were not so well done as that. Is that the only episode? I found what claimed to be episode two, but it was just an old crappy Rick Ashley video

For those of you who don't know Half life 2 is a continuation from the first game.
The story is simple. Some point in the near future, the earth is attacked by interdimentional beings which overwhelm the worlds defences in less than 8 minutes.
A Orwellian order is imposed on the survivors, with humans fighting with the aliens. however there is a resistance. The worlds remaining forces and civilian resistance fighters go underground but they are fighting a losing battle. The aliens ultimate aim is to acclimatise the earth for total alien colonisation.
They discover a means of shutting down the inter-dimensional rift which is the source of the aliens power without it they are vulnerable to counter attack. This is where you come in. A former scientist/ athlete and resistance fighter you are tasked to take the battle to the enemy, find their weakness and bring them down.
The footage above is based from the end of HL2 where the rift is destabilised and the resistance is openly beginning to fight back.
;D

Thanks Rusti, for the info, I'm not a games player and it's good to know what you're watching. I take it that huge tower on the skyline is the enemies ship or inter-dimensional rift portal thingy?

I take it that huge tower on the skyline is the enemies ship or inter-dimensional rift portal thingy? Yes, its a huge tower many miles high and sinks miles underground. Its the center of the aliens power called 'the Citadel' City 17 is rumoured to be somewhere in Eastern europe like Ukraine or Russia somewhere, you dont actually know. Humans are transported there from all over the planet to serve and are chemically neutered so eventually the human race will die out naturally. The irony is the end of HL1 you find out it was us humans that started the war with the aliens in the first place. A secret war was being fought against them by our soldiers crossing over into their realm. There have been calls for the HL series to be made into movies but the Game owners refuse to give over the rights because they feel the games wont be done justice...
