Managed to see The Wrestler last night with Mickey Rourke. He is well deserving of all the praise he has been receiving for this film. The hand held cam, limited use of music and understated performances give the film a documentary feel. Rourke is outstanding as the aging wrestler coming to terms with his failing health, what he has sacraficed for wrestling and struggling to find a life after it. Marisa Tomei who plays the single mother stripper love interest is also very good in the main supporting role. I challenge anyone not to be affected by this film. Top marks.
