On Wednesday, I did get to have a fairly lengthy and productive talk with Tim. While I'm still working on how to present the information and ensuring it's accuracy, I suppose there is no harm in mentioning what was discussed, as a sort of teaser for future updates: Tim's background in the film industry The Blackmoon saga UAV How investors were attracted for aborted $42 million version WOTW's budget Jeff Wayne Non-Disclosure agreements Shills and Online attacks Keep your eyes trained on my forum pendragonwars.proboards.com/index.cgi and my website freewebs.com/thependragonwar for updates on this.

I do have one question after all.
For me the biggest bug-bear was the ever changing finance 40 mil, 2 mil, 500,000 etc and so on.
If Tim were to just come out and say from the outset, hey I'm a low budget film maker, the production isnt going to be huge bucks, please forgive me if it does look a little low budget etc. Then most of us would be under no illusions as what to expect. Most people would have accepted him for his honesty and probably enjoyed his low budget attempt.
Does Tim now think perhaps he should have been more honest right from the beginning or was he under pressure to try to be something he wasn't?
(His version is accurate i'll give him that!)

I bet he'll claim he was under pressure to hype his accurate but crap WOTW film into something it wasn't [ hmm, I haven't seen it for years but I seem to remember quite a few innacuracies - look at those toy like tripods with their string sausage tentacles for a start ] but I wouldn't believe a word they say. Let's not forget that crap about Paramount supposedly putting a stop to his film being released in cinema's when it's obvious that it was never going to be in cinema's. They're a bunch of cheapo Troma dvd merchants. They took us WOTW fans for a bunch of mugs and now they're pretending to be a bit humble no doubt because this stupid Chrome film's supposed to be coming out .

FallingStar, I've exchanged a few e-mails and had one phone conversation with him. He seems like a nice guy, and I believe his honesty to be genuine. I've given him, his colleagues and his movie hell on my site for 18 months, he has admitted some things that must have been hard already and I do intend to ask him some tough questions in the future, so if you're worried my objectivity has been compromised, fear not.

I really don't see what all the fuss is about Timbo, If you like his film, then that's OK, If you don't like it then that's also OK. Back in 2005 we all saw the quality of his special-effects and were surprised at how crap they were. Any Director who wanted to promote his movie would post the best that he had to offer and if that was his best then he should not of bothered IMO. I have never see the film but I'm told its close to the book but with a hell of a lot more walking in it. ;D but if it is close to the book then why not just read the book and if that is too much like hard work why not buy or download the audio book. The only thing this talk does is reviving the corps of Pendragon's version of WotW it adds fuel to Timbo and his company and I for one don't think he deserves it, so the simplest thing to do is to ignore it. I don't like Shredded-wheat but I don't write to Nestle and trash their product, I just don't buy their product.

I don't like Shredded-wheat but I don't write to Nestle and trash their product, I just don't buy their product. That's what I think. Obviously I've made some comments about them but that's as far as my interest [ or lack of interest ] goes. I don't have any desire whatsoever to see this Chrome flick and I suggest all WOTW fans ignore it too. It will be a steaming load of ass anyway. I've only commented on it because of what was said on the IMDB and because I think [ and obviously others do ] there's some people pretending to criticise them but in reality they could well be chums of his and just part of his amateurish publicity machine - including possibly that Blackmoon geezer. Unfortunately I've most probably been guilty in the past too of feeding more publicity about them by even talking about them but I think we should do our best to just ignore them and everything related to them from now on - even though that can be hard at times. One good thing is - I never paid to see his boring so called WOTW flick as I managed to borrow a copy. Let's face it they're not very interesting anyway.

As far as I'm concerned Timbo has ruined his credibility, I would never believe a word he said and that is why it is pointless asking him any questions, because his answers would just be another pack of lies.

I thought the Tripods and the martians were well designed but of course poorly done, and Susan Gosfoth and whatshername were shaggable but aside from that i,d rather watch the Test Card anyday. So there.

ooooh..this is too tempting so ive got to stick my oar in.I dont give a toss what Tim Hines has said or not. What i do care about is that no-one(and i do mean no-one) has ever even bothered to take this story on apart from them big Hollywood bums and even they have bastardised the story sooooo much.Tim Hines has given us the closest thing yet.I know its not the greatest film ever made, far from it.The fact remains........visually its the nearest we have got and until mega money bags 'the spielberg crew' or whoever give us a better definative then Pendragons is the benchmark to beat.Yes i can hear you say....'not much of a benchmark'.We have the book and 100 years later we have got Pendragons film, everything else and im sorry if you are sick of hearing it but spielberg and george pal just made alien invasion concept films and bastardised this story.

Yes, but he promised so much and gave so little.
The New Al Pacino, A budget of God knows how many millions, released in cinemas world-wide, special effects to rival Hollywood....
and what did we get?
Say no more. ;D

You should watch it and dont believe the 'hype'.Its such a shame this situation. On the one hand we have got a tw*t with 200 mill who f"*ks it up and then we have tim hines who has done his best with not alot of money...............that indicates to me that spielberg doesn't give a tinkers cuss about Hg wells and hines really does. Its easy maths to me.
