This was a nice little challenge; the restoration of a rather battered, rusty and teenagerised electric guitar smothered in stickers, scratches and dents. When you plugged it into an amp you just got a horrible loud humming noise. After completely stripping the guitar down to it's component parts, I spent some time restoring every single piece. The body was filled, sanded and resprayed, and all the electrics rewired and tested. I then spent some time setting up the intonation and string action, and it's turned out to be a very playable nice sounding instrument! Lots of hard work, but I'm well pleased with the result. Here are before and after pictures; BEFORE; AFTER;

Ta mate, yes the metalwork was a challenge to clean up with all the delicate plastic surrounds. Lot's of polishing with T-cut.

Nice work Poyks, but you shouldn't let your instruments get in that state in the first place. ;D

hehe, ta. I do remember doing similarly terrible things to guitars when I was younger.
