The game im currently playing X3 terran Conflict.
(awesome video ALL footage is gameplay. It looks like a bloody movie!)
This game is basically Elite for the 21st century. The 6th game in the X Universe series.
Its a 'freeform' game like Elite meaning there is no end, despite the fact there are dozens if not hundreds of side missions.
Hundredes of sectors to explore hundreds of ships and stations and you can own/buy the lot. (depending on your rankings with each race and the standings with the local cops.)
You can be a miner, pirate, fighter pilot, bounty hunter, trader, scavenger etc.
This is a game i call a 'life killer' you get stuck in you wont get off.
Its all first person too, so you can manage your empire and get stuck in to the combat/trading too first hand.
Stunning, stunning game.
