[glow=red,2,300]Did any other Aussie folk catch Shannon Noll on Rove Live?
When Rove mentioned the musical Shannon mentioned they hadn't even rehearsed yet!
That bit of the interview ended up so awkward they made a joke about it later!
For those who don't know who Shannon Noll is, he was the runner up of the 1st Australian Idol series. He's going to be the Parson for the Australian tour. He's known for being fairly 'down to earth' being from a rural town... though he did sing a song with the lyrics 'I've got a car. I've got a big black shiny car'[/glow]

lol...ok. I'm sure he'll be fine when it comes down to it. They wouldn't have chosen him otherwise. I was worried about Russell Watson for the last UK tour, but he turned out to be very good.

I know that Jeff and co are out there now (and have been for a while). It will be great, I'm sure. Any Aussies who want to give us a report, please do! I'd also be interested in opinions for the official site as well as here. Especially as you will see the new show features (like the holographic Burton and so on) before we do!

Shannon Noll is a really good singer who I added to my myspace last year. He will be great as the roll of the Parson The following is taken from his myspace page: "Shannon Noll has already raised the roof, as one Australia’s finest and most exciting talents, but grab your earplugs, because the volume is about to skyrocket with Shannon’s brand new single, “LOUD”! After an intense 8 week writing session in Australia, Los Angeles, Nashville and New York where Shannon worked with some of the industries’ top songwriters, the dynamic vocalist and performer is back and raring to go with the release of “LOUD”, the first single from his forthcoming third album “Turn It Up”. “LOUD” has a familiar pedigree, being co written by Andy Stochansky, who also co wrote Shannon’s Number one smash, “Shine”, but the sound is decidedly different. “I think this one will surprise people,” says Shannon. “It is something definitely new for me. It’s a lot edgier.” From its haunting intro that gives way to a blistering chorus “LOUD” is a unique and memorable blast of pop rock showcasing Shannon’s undeniable vocal abilities. “I love the sentiment of this song,” Shannon says. “It’s about rebellion. It’s about turning the music up to the loudest. It made me think of the times when I would get in my dad’s car on the farm and just pump up the volume.” One listen to “LOUD” and its obvious this comes from an artist who is ever keen to grow. Despite his record breaking run of 11 consecutive Top 10 ARIA charting singles, a feat no other artist has ever achieved either in Australia or overseas, and two multi platinum selling albums, Shannon knows this is only the beginning. “I’ve grown a lot and I’ve learned a lot, “says Shannon. “And it’s that experience that I can now put into the recording studio as well.” Working with Grammy nominated producer Luke Ebbin, whose production credits include Bon Jovi and Melissa Etheridge, the two set out to capture Shannon’s vocals at their very best by bringing the immediacy of Shannon’s superb live performances into the studio. “It was a new way of working for me and I definitely think we took it to the next level,” says Shannon. “LOUD” is bound to make a lot of noise, but it’s only a whisper of what’s to come when Shannon releases his third album “Turn It Up” on September 15."

[glow=red,2,300]I really don't like the songs he normally sings, but he did a great job in the concert! A lot better than I expected.
And Michael Falzon was truly brilliant as the artilleryman! [/glow]
