I may be gone for a while my PC's playing silly buggers, it works fine for about 10 - 15 mins then the monitor turns off and when I try turning it back on it only works for about 2 secs, I think and hope it's probably my graphics card.

Ah man that's no good. Hope you get it sorted soon, and if all else fails beat it without mercy and then get a new one. ;D

Sorry to hear that, LC. If you want give me a call and I can pass you over to one of my technicians to see if they can diagnose it over the phone for you. The shop number is 01434 600022.

A problem with your graphics card? That's exactly what happened to me last month.

I removed the side panel to let as much air circulate around the gubbins as possible, just in case it's an over-heating problem. I'm up to 19 mins as I type this, so it's doing better than it did yesterday.
Thanks for the suggestion R.B. but I'll try local first.

Problem over touch wood. It wasn't the Graphics card after all, it was my new 19" wide-screen monitor, it's gone phut. So I changed the monitor for my old 14" one and I hadn't fully tightened the little screws on the monitor cable into the back of the PC so it wasn't making proper contact and it kept shorting out after a few mins. As soon as I tightened the cable up properly it all worked fine. 14" is tiny after you've been used to a 19" ... I'm talking about the Monitor by the way. ;D

I've just bought a 22" monitor for my studio, it's ace being able to use Cubase without scrolling a tiny monitor screen all the time! (Someone is going to comment soon about us lot comparing our inches lol!!)

Just come back from a computer fair, I was hoping to pick up a new monitor cheep no such luck throughout the whole fair I only saw 2 wide-screen monitors and one of those was still in the box and the guy was reluctant to show it operating, which made suspicious. I did see a 14" flat screen, exactly the same as the one I'm reduced to using now, Mine cost my £150 Four years ago he was selling his for £20 unfortunately it's one of those old type that if you move more than half a degree to the left or right the picture changes colour. I have got to get myself a better monitor.
