[glow=red,2,300]Anyone else play it? I've spent a good amount of moolah on Monsterpocalypse and have been playing it weekly for months now.[/glow]

I'd love to give it a go, but I just don't have the time. Maybe some day when I retire!

I'd love to give it a go, but I just don't have the time. Maybe some day when I retire! As wargames go it can be played in a short amount of time, so long as you don't stand around planning your moves like i do with my most common opponent. The game can be played quite simply but can also be very deep tactically, all depending on how you want to play it. A light-hearted fun game can be over in 30 minutes once your familiar with the special abilities of your units. The basic rules are quite simple. It's nothing like warhammer in the time or money needed. Though as the packs come with random pieces ebay is the answer if you only want a specific force like the martians.

I've been trying occasionally to get a few chums into boardgaming for a while. RB is one of them but, to a man, they all seem to be in relationships, have lives & etc and can't spare the time.
Never mind, eh?

[glow=red,2,300]See if you can find one of the really quickly played games. A 'gateway' game In Monsterpocalypse you can have a Martian Tripod fight Cthulhu or King Kong. And there's not just rules for smashing enemies through buildings which burst into flames it's a primary game mechanic. About as epic as a game can get as far as i'm concerned and while i've played warhammer 40,000 for years and do love it and that goes for many other games too this one really is vastly cheaper, easier, fairer and more engaging than anything else i've played. At the very least WotW collectors should get their hands on the two different tripod monsters and some of the tripod units.[/glow]
